N99i - The Chinese Nokia iPhone Clone Built To Text

The iPhone set a new standard in cell phones. The gold standard is now a high resolution touch screen as well as the ability to surf the web, play music, watch and record video and take high quality pictures all from the comfort of your mobile phone.

But the iPhone was not without problems. The iPhone is pretty expensive and requires you to use AT&T's expensive mobile service (usually starting at $100). Additional problems are: the iPhone requires you to take the battery to the dealer to replace it; the iPhone has a paltry three speakers; and although the iPhone does allow texting, the touch screen is a bit slow as far as texting goes. Finally, the iPhone is known to have freezing and loading problems.

Chinese manufacturers saw the perfect opportunity to copy iPhone technology while fixing the drawbacks. The N99i is one of the more popular iPhone clones. It is especially popular with people who do a lot of texting because of its keypad import and handwriting recognition. It has two Sim cards so you can have two phone numbers without ever needing to turn off the phone.

The N99i has everything you would expect from both the iPhone and the iPhone clones, with features as follows:

Tri band, GSM 900/1800/1900;

Built-in bluetooth;
